All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who was involved in an intense battle on the field on the last day of the Lord's Test against England, strangely left the field just moments before Tea. While everyone thought it was due to dehydration or to address some issue on his hand, turns out the southpaw was off the field due to nature's call.

With nine wickets down and the all-rounder involved in the last-wicket partnership with Siraj, the break came at the opportune time for the southpaw, as he could just gather some thoughts and go about the fight he had shown throughout the first session. However, the veteran's efforts were not enough in the end, as the hosts won the game by 22 runs to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match Test series.

Ravindra Jadeja's 181-ball unbeaten 61 runs was full of character, courage, and determination. At one moment, it looked like the hosts would win the game in canter, as they took four wickets in the first session. However, the southpaw was not ready to give up and showed the stomach for the fight. He first shared a valiant 10th-wicket partnership with Bumrah and later bought the target down to 20s with Siraj. In the end, it was not enough as India went fighting down, with Jadeja showing an extreme amount of grit and determination to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
